This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. By using the Robotist website at robotist.com.au or contacting us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Collection

What personal information we collect

We collect only the personal information necessary to respond to your enquiry or provide our services. This includes:

  • Email address — to respond to your enquiry
  • Enquiry content — the details you provide when contacting us via our website contact form or directly by email
  • Business name and role — where you voluntarily provide this as part of your enquiry

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, financial, or government identifier data) through our website.

Information is collected when you submit our contact form, send us an email directly, or engage with us at events or by phone. We do not collect personal information passively beyond what is described in the Cookies section below.

Use

How we use your information

We use the personal information you provide for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry about our robotics products and services

  • To communicate about your project if you engage our services
  • To improve the quality of our website and the service we provide

We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is unrelated to the reason you provided it, without your consent.

Disclosure

We do not sell your data

Robotist does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not share your personal information with any third party except as described below.

Our website uses the following third-party services that may process technical data as part of their operation:

  • Google Fonts — Fonts are loaded from Google's servers. When your browser requests a font file, Google may receive your IP address and browser user-agent as part of the HTTP request. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Web3Forms — Our contact form submission service. When you submit a contact form, your name, email address, and message content are transmitted to Web3Forms for delivery to us. Web3Forms processes this data solely to route your enquiry. Their privacy policy applies: web3forms.com/privacy
  • Spline — An interactive 3D scene on our homepage is powered by Spline. When loading this scene, your browser connects to Spline's servers. Spline may process your IP address as part of serving the 3D asset. Their privacy policy applies: spline.design/privacy

We may disclose your personal information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Robotist, our clients, or the public.

Cookies

Cookies and tracking

Robotist does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies on this website. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking technology.

Google Fonts may set technical cookies or store font files in your browser cache as part of delivering fonts. These are functional in nature and do not track your behaviour across sites.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time without affecting your ability to use this website.

Retention

How long we retain your data

We retain enquiry and contact data for two years from the date of receipt. This period allows us to maintain a record of previous enquiries in the event you return as a client or reference earlier correspondence.

After two years, enquiry data is securely deleted unless it forms part of an active client engagement, in which case it is retained for the duration of that engagement and for a further period required by law.

If you request deletion of your personal information before the standard retention period expires, we will honour that request except where retention is required by law.

Your rights

Access, correction, and deletion

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations
  • Make a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs

To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email at robert@robotist.com.au. We will respond to access and correction requests within 30 days. We will not charge a fee for handling a privacy request.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Security

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Our website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data received via email is stored within our email provider's encrypted infrastructure.

As an early-stage company, we do not operate complex data systems. Personal information you provide is limited to email correspondence and form submissions, which are accessed only by Robotist personnel directly involved in responding to you.

This policy is designed to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The APPs govern how Australian organisations collect, use, disclose, and manage personal information.

Robotist Pty Ltd is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.
